In February 2026, Growthink Capital Research tracked $168.5 billion in venture funding, representing a substantial increase from the $12.8 billion recorded in January 2025.

The month’s biggest funding event belonged to OpenAI ($110 billion), an advanced artificial intelligence systems company, including the GPT series, to ensure that general-purpose AI benefits all of humanity.


The hottest sectors for funding during the month were A.I./Machine Learning, Healthtech, Fintech, Cybersecurity, and Aerospace.

Key funding events in each of these sectors for the month are below:

A.I./Machine Learning deals included OpenAI ($110 billion), Anthropic ($30 billion), ElevenLabs ($500 million), Runway ($315 million), Temporal ($300 million), Fundamental ($255 million), PaleBlueDot AI ($150 million), Goodfire ($150 million), Code Metal ($125 million), Resolve AI ($125 million), Basis ($100 million), Simile ($100 million), SynthBee ($100 million), Nimble ($47 million), Slang AI ($36 million), Selector ($32 million), Circuit ($30 million), Loop AI ($14 million), Algorized ($13 million), Grotto AI ($10 million), Limy ($10 million), QuadSci ($8 million), and Feltsense ($5.1 million).
  2. Healthtech deals included Talkiatry ($210 million), Solace Health ($130 million), Garner Health ($118 million), Midi Health ($100 million), Alaffia Health ($55 million), Anterior ($40 million), Atlas Oncology Partners ($28 million), Big Health ($23.7 million), Somethings ($19.2 million), Daffodil Health ($16.3 million), Third Way Health ($15 million), Rainfall Health ($15 million), Synthpop ($15 million), Handl Health ($14.2 million), Take2 ($14 million), Coral Care ($13 million), and Baba ($6.5 million).
  3. Fintech deals included inKind ($450 million), Vestwell ($385 million), Varo Bank ($123.9 million), Rogo ($75 million), Bretton AI ($75 million), Accrual ($75 million), Ascent ($45 million), Avantos ($35 million), Turnstile ($29 million), Uptiq ($25 million), Payra ($15 million), and EnFi ($15 million).
  4. Cybersecurity deals included TRM Labs ($70 million), GitGuardian ($50 million), Cogent Security ($42 million), RapidFort ($42 million), ORION Security ($32 million), VulnCheck ($25 million), Nucleus Security ($20 million), Kasada ($20 million), Aliro ($15 million), and Airrived ($6.1 million).
  5. Aerospace deals included Stoke Space Technologies ($860 million), CesiumAstro ($470 million), Axiom Space ($350 million), Skyryse ($300 million), Aalyria ($100 million), Natilus ($28 million), and Morpheus Space ($15 million).

Last month, 43 companies announced funding rounds exceeding $100 million, consistent with the number reported in January. Below is a summary of the top 20 companies by capital raised (excluding OpenAI).

  1. Anthropic ($30 billion) a frontier AI research and the Claude family of large language models for enterprise and developer use.
  2. Waymo ($16 billion) an autonomous driving technology company that operates a commercial ride-hailing service using its “Waymo Driver” system.
  3. Cerebras Systems ($1 billion) designs and builds the world’s largest AI processors and supercomputers to accelerate deep learning and drug discovery.
  4. Stoke Space Technologies ($860 million) develops fully and rapidly reusable rockets designed to provide low-cost, on-demand satellite delivery with daily flight capabilities.
  5. ElevenLabs ($500 million) an AI research and product company building foundational models for text-to-speech, transcription, music, and dubbing.
  6. CesiumAstro ($470 million) an advanced communication systems and phased array payloads for space, air, and ground missions.
  7. inKind ($450 million) a restaurant commerce enablement platform that offers upfront capital to operators in exchange for future food and beverage credit.
  8. Inertia Enterprises ($450 million) a laser-based fusion energy by building pilot plants and mass-manufacturing fuel targets.
  9. Vestwell ($385 million) a platform that powers modern workplace savings programs, including 401(k), 529, and emergency savings accounts.
  10. Axiom Space ($350 million) a leader in commercial human space exploration and the development of commercial space station modules.
  11. Runway ($315 million) a creative tool for machine learning and video generation.
  12. Temporal ($300 million) an open-source platform powering the world’s most reliable agentic applications.
  13. Skyryse ($300 million) a simplified flight control system and aviation automation technology designed to make flight safer and more accessible for all aircraft.
  14. Bedrock Robotics ($270 million) an autonomous technology and software to upgrade existing heavy equipment for large-scale excavation and construction projects.
  15. Fundamental ($255 million) a platform called NEXUS that uses a foundation model designed for tabular data to drive predictive intelligence from enterprise data.
  16. Positron AI ($230 million) an energy-efficient AI inference hardware to accelerate the deployment of large-scale AI models.
  17. Talkiatry ($210 million) a psychiatric care service through a national full-stack provider group supported by an AI-powered technology platform.
  18. Oxide Computer Company ($200 million) an integrated rack-scale computer system that provides the efficiency of public cloud infrastructure for on-premises environments.
  19. Korsana Biosciences ($175 million) a biotechnology company backed by a syndicate of healthcare investors.
  20. Tomorrow.io ($175 million) operates a weather intelligence platform that provides organizations with high-resolution, actionable weather forecasts and climate data.
